Ubud has caught the world's attention again - this time by being listed as one of the top 10 best cities in the world in 2025 by the prestigious Travel + Leisure publication.

In the annual ranking, which is based on the votes of travelers from around the world, Ubud ranked 9th, behind destinations such as San Miguel de Allende and Kyoto. Hospitality, culinary, culture, architecture, nature and overall travel experience were evaluated. Ubud was chosen as the sole representative of Indonesia, but not Southeast Asia. Ubud still needs to catch up with the position of other cities such as Chiang Mai and Bangkok from Thailand
For Bali, this is yet another confirmation: the island remains one of the most attractive destinations in the world - for tourists and investors alike. Ubud is not just a resort, but the cultural and spiritual heart of the island.
